Annual Filing Requirements

 

Annual Report

Fee:

An annual statement must be filed each year by domestic and foreign corporations organized for profit. The fee to file this report is between $55 and $5,015, based upon the calculated franchise tax determined with the Franchise Tax Computation worksheet included with the report.

 

Electronic filing is discounted to a flat fee of $50 with Non-profits paying a flat fee of $40. Payment is by credit card.

Due Date:

 

Annual reports are due when the Kansas annual income tax report is due, on or before April 15th, or the 15th day of 4th month following the close of the tax period. Reports may be filed as early as January 1st of the filing year.

 

Corporation Franchise Tax Returns

Tax:

The franchise tax rate is 0.125% with the tax capped at $20,000. Tax forms are no longer available for download from the state's Web site, but instructions and payment vouchers are still posted there.
